I'm so glad you dropped by to learn a little bit about me. This is my 10th year of photography, and I can whole-heartedly say that I love it now more than ever. I've been married 13 years to my best friend, Shane. We have two cats, Chunk, and Jazz. We've lived in Raleigh for 6 years, and prior to that, we lived in Greenville, NC (Go Pirates!). We’re both born and raised in Wilson, NC. We've recently built a home outside of Raleigh. If you've been on my Instagram page, you’ll see our beautiful pond, and most importantly...my swinging daybed (I'm obsessed).
Some of my interests include music, coffee, wood-working, pottery, and long walks on the beach...(no, really, I actually do!). By nature, I can be a busybody, but being married to Shane has helped me slow down and savor life. We love to binge watch a good show almost as much as we like to travel.
It's an honor that you're considering me for your wedding. You can get to know my personality better through my Instagram stories. That’s where I overshare videos of my cats, and talk about seemingly ridiculous things.
To get an understanding of why I've given my time and talents to weddings is to understand my love of marriage. Though many of you may not get to meet Shane (my incredible husband), he is an important part of my love of weddings. Our love story is different than most. We were married by the time I was a freshman in college, a mere 19 years old!! We've been married 13 years, and with all honesty, marriage is one of my favorite things.
We've weathered through good times and bad times, and to be more in love than when we started is a huge testimony to our love of God and each other. I love wedding photography because I love capturing the covenant of marriage. As much as I want you to have the wedding of your dreams, with the perfect color palette, and dreamy sun-drenched images, I wholeheartedly want you to have an even better marriage. Marriage is a beautiful gift, and I'm genuinely excited for couples who are vowing to love one another 'til the end.
